What counts as a "station"?
A station is any enrolled instance of the PeerAegis daemon — a Windows Service or Linux systemd process registered with your infra-server. A single machine running one daemon = one station. Stations can be added, removed, or re-enrolled at any time within your licence limit.
Can I trial before committing to a plan?
Yes. We provision a managed trial environment at no cost — a hosted infra-server tenant, up to 5 stations, for 30 days. Fill in the trial request form and we'll have your environment ready within one business day. No credit card required.
Do files count against any quota?
No. There are no per-transfer fees, no GB quotas, and no file size limits imposed by the licence. File transfer happens directly between your daemons — the relay never handles your payload, so there is nothing to meter on our side.
What happens when my licence expires?
The infra-server polls a Firebase Firestore licence record approximately every 6 hours. On expiry, new peer connections are rejected; existing transfers in progress are completed. Daemons continue running — no data is deleted. Renewing restores full connectivity immediately.
Is the infra-server self-hosted or SaaS?
Both options are available. The Standard and Professional tiers ship as a single Docker-composable binary you run on your own infrastructure. Enterprise includes optional fully managed hosting. During the trial period, we host the infra-server for you.
